A 20-year-old Newton man faces three felony charges for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a minor. According to the court filed criminal complaint against Francisco Alejandro Sordo Guerrero, there is cellphone video confirming the allegations. The teenage victim told Newton Police her sexual activity with Sordo Guerrero has been going on for 18 months. 

The charges filed in the case include sexual exploitation of a minor, a class B felony, 3rd degree sexual abuse-child victim, a class C felony, and 1st offense purchase/possess depiction of a minor in a sex act. 

Court records show Sordo Guerrero has been released on the Iowa Department of Correction’s pretrial supervision program. His next court appearance is set for April 7th.
