A new look and era for Pella boys soccer started with victory on Monday as the Dutch knocked off Centerville 8-0 in the 2025 opener.

The Dutch were dominant from the opening whistle, scoring twice in the first 12 minutes to set the tone. Six different Dutch players scored for Pella, including two goals each from Chase Hamilton and Hank Duffy, and individual tallies from Tyson Barnes, Eli Wuertz, Brody Van Zee, and Xabier Lozano Isusi.

Monday’s win is the first at the high school varsity level for new coach Will Foskett.

Pella moves to 1-0 overall on the season and heads to Winterset on Thursday.
