The Central College softball team stayed at #20 in the last NFCA rankings released on Tuesday. The Dutch remained in the top-20 after a 2-0 week in which they swept Bethany Lutheran in a doubleheader, led by pitcher Emma Beck throwing two complete games. East Texas Baptist University remains ranked #1 and there was movement in the top five as Christopher Newport University (Va.) slide up to #2. The Dutch will open American Rivers Conference play on Friday, traveling to Indianola to take on Simpson College in a doubleheader starting at 3 pm. Central will play its first home game on Sunday, when it welcomes the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for a doubleheader starting at 1 pm.
