A longtime vacant building in downtown Newton is now home to a longtime Newton photographer. The Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at John Lee Photography Friday afternoon. John Lee started his photography business in Newton in 2001. A shift to more outside photography prompted his decision to downsize, and move out of his prior location with a large studio space. Now that he’s in his new space, after renovating the building that he says has been mostly vacant for a decade, Lee wishes he would have moved downtown sooner.

“I love being in the downtown district where I can go out and walk, take a break, there’s several restaurants that are close by that I can go to. In hindsight, it’s a move I wish I would have made earlier.”
