Anyone looking for a job or a better job opportunity can get assistance with that today in a Newton parking lot. The IowaWORKS Mobile Workforce Center will be in Newton from 10 a,m, to 2 p.m.. The Mobile Workforce Center is a custom-built, 32-foot long bus with ten computer workstations for job searches and unemployment claims, and two 40-inch monitors to lead job search workshops or hiring fairs. Newton Development Corporation Executive Director Frank Liebl says IowaWORKS staff will accompany the Mobile Workforce Center to assist those who stop by.

“The personnel with Iowa Workforce Development will help with resumes and job searches, trying to find the right match for people looking for a job. The Mobile Workforce Center will be in the parking lot just south of Legacy Plaza.” 

Newton Development Corporation and Jasper County Economic Development Corporation are sponsoring today’s IowaWORKS Mobile Workforce Center visit.
