A licensed EMT from Indianola was arrested by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office earlier this year for Grooming. According to court filings, 37-year-old Jeremy Dean McCormick of Indianola allegedly took two teenage females on a shopping trip to Victoria’s Secret in November of 2024 and purchased underwear for the two minors. McCormick then asked for photos of one of the minors wearing the clothing items, and also sent photos of himself in his underwear to the minor. The criminal complaint also states that McCormick was aware the victim was under the age of 18.

The Iowa Bureau of Emergency Medical and Trauma Services has issued a disciplinary order suspending McCormick’s EMT license. McCormick was not employed by the City of Indianola or Indianola Fire Department.

McCormick was arrested in January by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with two counts of Grooming, a class D felony.
