Today is the last day this week that you can visit Newton and Jasper County Offices and the Newton Sanitary Landfill. Tomorrow is Good Friday, which is a holiday for City of Newton and Jasper County employees. The one exception is the Newton Public Library, which is open for normal hours.

Good Friday is not a federal holiday, so the United States Postal Service will have regular mail and package delivery. For banks and other financial institutions, some will be open and some will be closed. It’s best to check ahead of time with your local branch.
