Scattered severe thunderstorms remain a possibility later today, especially in the evening into the early overnight hours in south central Iowa. A slight risk has been issued by the National Weather Service, or two out of five on their scale. The primary threat will be large hail, with some stones up to two inches in diameter possible, especially along and west of Interstate 35. The storms are likely to develop in the evening, but will be scattered in nature. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for updates.
