The Indianola girls track and field team won the annual Ron Werling Relays at Indianola Stadium Thursday, scoring 133 points. Top finishers included Kendal Sandy winning the 200m, Emma White winning the 400m, Jordyn Brown winning the 800m and 1500m, Haley New winning the Shot Put, and the Sprint Medley, 4x400m, and Distance Medley Relay teams all earning first place finishes. Indianola will send competitors to Norwalk High School for a meet on Monday.

The Indianola boys track and field team placed 4th at Waukee. Top finishers included a meet championship from the Distance Medley Relay team, Aiden Curtis was 2nd in the Discus, the Sprint Medley Relay was 2nd, and 3rd place finishes from Asher Brueck in the 100m, Luke Gordon in the 200m, Easton McGraw in the 400m Hurdles, Kiefer Barnes in the 1600m, Lathan McDaniel in the Shot Put, and the 4x100m and 4x200m Relay teams. Indianola will next send their qualifiers to the Drake Relays next week.

The #15 in class 2A Indianola girls soccer team dominated Des Moines East Thursday evening, winning 7-2. Scoring goals for the Indians included two each from Isabelle Crookes and Lauren Burk, and one each from Lauren Phillippi, Rylee Burns, and Ella Trotter, with Burns also earning a pair of assists. The Indians are now 4-2 on the season, and will host Carlisle tomorrow morning.

The Indianola boys soccer team defeated Carlisle 4-2 in a non-conference matchup Thursday on the road. Allan Martinez earned a hat trick for his first three goals of the season and Damien Moyo earned another goal, while Jacob Chickering earned two assists. Indianola is now 3-3 on the season, and will compete in a tournament at the Cownie Soccer Complex tomorrow.

The Indianola girls golf team placed 8th at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, shooting a team score of 382. Leading the way for Indianola included Amelia Moorlach with an 89, Anna Blanchard and Alexa Inman each carding 95, and Camryn Overton shooting a 103. The Indians will next hit the links Monday at Willow Creek Golf Course.
