A Knoxville man has been charged with Felony Theft Against an Older Individual.

According to court records, Between March 6th  and March 25th, 2025, 26-year-old Sean Gelles obtained his grandfather’s debit card/bank account information and linked it to his CashApp account. Between those dates, the defendant allegedly made cash transfers to his CashApp account and made purchases from E-Bay and Amazon. Marion County Bank records show a total amount of cash withdrawals and unauthorized purchases of $11,669.28.

Gelles is charged with First Degree Theft Against an Older Individual, a Class B Felony. Gelles is also charged with violating his probation from an eluding charge that occurred on December 9th, 2023.
