The Indianola boys and girls soccer teams were in action Saturday in non-conference matchups, the boys winning over Bondurant-Farrar 3-1 and Des Moines Christian 4-3 to win the East Invitational, while the girls shut out Carlisle 2-0.

The boys earned goals in the Bondurant-Farrar victory by Allan Martinez, Royer Garnica, and Anson Miller, while Martinez earned a hat trick in the match against Des Moines Christian while Jacob Chickering also found the back of the net. Indianola is now 5-3 on the season.

The girls again had a great defensive performance against the Warren County rival Wildcats, with Ella Trotter scoring both goals with both assists earned by Rylee Burns. Indianola improves to 5-2 and both teams will match up with Dallas Center-Grimes on Tuesday.
