The Indianola girls golf and girls track and field teams were in action Monday. The girls golfers had a 6th place finish out of 17 teams at West Des Moines, shooting a team score of 367. Reese Lucas carded a 90, Cam Overton a 91, Amelia Moorlach a 92, and Anna Blanchard a 94 on the day. Indianola next golfs Thursday at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny.

The Indianola girls track and field team placed third at Norwalk. Top finishers included Gabby Aiken winning the 200m and the Long Jump, Sam Gripp winning the Shot Put, the 4x400m Relay team of Hadley Erickson, Cailey Baker, Alexa Guyer, and Averie Rogers placing first, and the Distance Medley Relay team of Cailey Baker, Gabby Akin, Averie Rogers, and Aspen Nelen taking home a championship. The Indians will send athletes to the Drake Relays beginning Thursday.
