Girls Tennis Falls For The First Time This Spring
The Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad fell for the first time this season as the Panthers lost to Pella Christian 7-4. Knoxville won just two of four singles matches with Janie Maasdam at #1 and Bridgette Liston winning at #4. The Panthers won two doubles matches as all of those matches went to a super tiebreaker. Maasdam and Marlea Cox claimed victory at #1 doubles while Liston and Macy Cox won at #3 doubles. The Panthers will host Chariton at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts today.
Boys Track Places 2nd At Van Meter With Final Tune Ups For Drake Relays
The Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad placed 2nd at the Van Meter Invitational on Monday. Many of the Panthers tuned up for the Drake Relays later this week including Koby Higginbotham and Kaiden Smith in their respective events. Higginbotham placed 1st in the 110 high hurdles, the event he qualified a Blue Standard in. The time was :14.33. Smith won the high jump, an event he will be in with a leap of six/five. Both were on the winning 4×400 relay team along with Cael Irving and Jacob Mitrisin in a time of 3:34.02.

Girls Golf 3rd At Home Triangular, Smith Overall Medalist
The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad placed 3rd out of four teams in a home quad at Pine Knolls Country Club. The Panthers finished up with a 243, however Caelie Smith was overall medallist with a 44. Abbie Keitges placed 14th with a 59, Brilynn McMillen had a 63 while Kharma Johnson shot a 77. The Panthers are back at Pine Knolls today joining the boys in a dual with Van Meter.

Boys Soccer Dominates PCM, Girls Lose A Close One To Central Iowa United
The Knoxville Soccer Squads were both playing on Monday. The boys traveled to PCM and dominated the Mustangs 7-0. Ezra Schmidt scored a goal and had an assist, Jensen Finnegan scored twice and assisted on another, while Kaison Wilder had two goals and Rylan Robinson also scored twice. Knoxville is now 4-1-2, winning its last four matches by a combined score of 20-2. Knoxville heads to Chariton on Friday. The girls played likely their best match of the season, but still fell to Central Iowa United 3-2. Remy Vasquez-Smith scored both of Knoxville’s goals to bring her total to four and the team lead on the season. Addi Williams had 13 saves. Knoxville is 0-6 and will travel to Fairfield today.
