The Marion County Board of Supervisors will consider the proposed county budget at their meeting today.

The board will hold a public hearing and then consider a resolution for the proposed Fiscal Year 26 budget which will begin July 1st, 2025 and last until June 30th, 2026. Also at the meeting the board will discuss the Knoxville Veteran’s District land use plan, the VA laundry building site, hear an update from the Central Iowa Region Housing Authority, and discuss an engine brake ordinance. The board will then discuss the county third floor courtroom, look to adopt elected officials salaries, and discuss the secondary road department budget.

The meeting will close with the board discussing the secondary road department five year program, and consider an IT department copier/printer contract. Today’s Marion County Board of Supervisors meeting will start at 9:00 am at 3014 E Main St. in Knoxville.
