
Pella Boys Golf Team Claims Day Two of LHC Meet Following Dutch Masters Title
A few days removed from winning the 17-team Dutch Masters invitational, the Pella boys golf team returned to their home course for the second round of Little Hawkeye Conference action. The Dutch won day two of the event with a 310 score, narrowly beating Pella Christian by four. Gabe Clark was the low score for Pella with a 75, followed by a 76 from Cole Floden, 78 from KJ Besick, and 81 from Patrick Bishara.
Pella Girls Tennis Team Dominates Oskaloosa
The Pella girls tennis team found a sweep in conference dual action Tuesday, defeating Oskaloosa 11-0. The most drama of the evening took place in the doubles ranks, as Ellie Smock and Macy Westerkamp moved to a tiebreaker to win the No. 4 spot and Jenna Van Wyk and Reanna DeVries were able to find a win at No. 5.
Dutch Track and Field Teams 4th in Ottumwa Without Many Drake Relays Qualifiers Competing
With many of their key athletes preparing for the Drake Relays later this week, the Pella track and field programs sent a mix of varsity and JV runners to Ottumwa to compete at the Don Newell Classic in Ottumwa. Both teams placed 4th in the field of scores. Top finishes for the Dutch included:
1600 Meters – Noah Schuknecht (4:43.07)
3000 Meters – Carleigh Altwine (11:19.51)
Boys 4×800 (Ebersole, Paulsen, Browne, Browne) – 8:21.43
