Along with the Knoxville Athletes heading up to the Drake Relays today, there are also other teams and athletes that are in action. Girls golf to the OSkaloosa Invitational. Coach Barry Smith tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it is a learning experience for most of the girls who are either playing for the first time or playing varsity for the first time in their careers and the short game is one of the points of emphasis.

Smith: “A lot of the girls will have to understand that chipping a putting is an everyday thing. We do that so we can make it easier to tap in a putt.”

At the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts the Knoxville Tennis Squads will be hosting Davis County. The girls recovered from their fist loss of the season by beating Chariton on Tuesday.
