Warren County Conservation is helping those with low mobility enjoy the various parks and trails across the county with a recent purchase. Warren County Conservation Environmental Education Coordinator Kelsey Longnecker tells KNIA News the department received a donation through the Warren County Conservation Board, the Friends of Warren County Conservation, and the Warren County Leadership Institute. Longnecker also said this will expand the availability to use the parks for those who may not have had the opportunity to do so earlier.

“It’s an opportunity for field trips or when families are out visiting if we’ve got someone with limited mobility, they’ll have the opportunity to still use the trails and programs. If there is someone that is older that can’t quite walk as far but want to visit their kids doing the kids fish day, they can reach out to us to borrow that wheelchair to be able to drive back there that way. We are really excited about it, increasing the accessibility for people with more of that limited mobility.”
