A Des Moines man was arrested in Pella earlier this week on one felony charge of forgery. On February 18th, 34-year-old Kristofer Goins allegedly entered Leighton State Bank in Pella with a forged check in his name, which he then cashed and received $1,986.10 in cash. Goins was identified as the accused suspect by bank employees that checked his photo identification and by his probation parole officer through security footage. Kristofer was also identified as a suspect in a similar case that occurred in another jurisdiction. Goins is charged with second degree theft and forgery, which are both class D felonies, and is scheduled to appear in court for his preliminary hearing next Thursday at 9 am.
