
The Indianola girls golf team placed second overall in the third and final Little Hawkeye Conference meet of the season on Monday, earning a second place overall finish in the conference standings after three meets with 14 points. Indianola carded a 346 today as a squad, with Reese Lucas leading the way with an 84, Camryn Overton with an 85, Alexa Inman with an 88, and Anna Blanchard with an 89. Overton placed third overall over the three meets. Indianola next golfs Thursday at Oskaloosa.
The Indianola girls tennis team saw the doubles team of Maci Lerseth and Lauren Danielson place third in the individual regionals contest, the highest placing for the Indians. Lerseth and Danielson along with the doubles team of Emily Allen and Zoey Belt both advanced to the semifinals but fell, and had to play each other to be the alternate at state with Danielson and Lerseth advancing. Chloe Chaplin and Paige Dahl each fell in singles competition. The Indians next move on to team regionals at Norwalk on Friday.
