
The Knoxville Baseball Squad defeated Winterset on Thursday 7-6 holding on in the late innings to preserve the victory. Six of Knoxville’s seven runs were scored in the first three innings as the Panthers benefitted from Husky errors and ineffective pitching. Kyler Gifford was 1/3 with two RBI and Lincoln Norris got two hits in two at bats. Brady Roozeboom got the win going two innings, allowing four runs and striking out two. Knoxville pitchers combined to strike out 11 Winterset batters. Knoxville hosts Albia tonight, a game you can hear on 95.3 KNIA at 7:00.
