[simage=4718,200,y,left] District Judge John D. Lloyd approved this morning the motion filed by the defense to move the trial for Michael Miller to the Clarke County Courthouse in Osceola. Miller’s defense team had filed the motion last week, citing the extensive and comprehensive coverage of the Terry Cobbins, Jr. trial as the motivating factor to moving the trial from Marion County.
Cobbins was convicted last week of first degree murder. According to court documents, Cobbins killed Teresa Miller after Theresa’s husband Michael paid him to do so. Michael Miller denies his involvement in the plot. Court documents state that he told authorities that a woman he had an affair with must have gotten Cobbins to commit the murder so she could be with him.
Jury selection for the trial starts on Tuesday, March 20th at the Clarke County Courthouse in Osceola.
