The City of Pella has completed its test of the warning siren system. The test went smoothly and all eight sites are functioning properly, bringing the city warning system back to full capacity. Marcia Slycord, Pella Police Department Communications Supervisor tells KNIA/KRLS News that the department would like to extend their gratitude to the citizens of Pella for their patience during testing, and that they apologize for any inconvenience caused by the test. Additionally she says that the city will be sounding the sirens again next Wednesday, as part of the statewide tornado drill.
