The roar of motorcycle engines will be heard in Knoxville today as a few events in town will feature the two-wheel machines. The main event is the AMA Pro Flat-Track Grand National Championship. That will feature riders from across the country in one of the fastest tracks on their circuit. Practice begins at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, with introductions and heat races beginning at 7pm.

As part of the weekend, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is hosting their 3rd Annual Charity Bike Ride. A $30 registration fee allows participants to join in the large group ride as it makes a couple of stops in Des Moines and one in Indianola. Participants are also registered for door prizes and will have a dinner on Saturday night at the Hall of Fame and Museum. Money from the Charity Bike Ride benefits the non-profit museum. Registration begins at 9am, and the group departs at 10am.
