Marion County Special Olympics is inviting new members to join their team. Special Olympics is an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive, and respected members of society through sports training and competition. The program offers year-round training and competition, developing improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence, and a more positive self-image. A number of different summer and winter sports are offered and there is no charge to participate. For more information on participation or volunteering, contact Maureen Schletzbaum at 515-848-3822
