The City of Knoxville approved a new logo during this past week’s City Council meeting. City Manager Harold Stewart tells KNIA/KRLS that the Council expressed interest earlier this year to move back to a design with the Iowa State flag and the checkered flag. Stewart says they worked with Scott Ziller, who has a graphic design background, to create several options. The logo will now be placed on various municipal vehicles as they’re purchased. It will also become a key component of the new city website when it launches early next year.
