The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the southeastern portion of Marion County warning the Cedar Creek will go above flood stage overnight. As of 9:30, the creek has not yet risen above its banks, but it’s expected to surpass the 25 foot flood stage, cresting at more than 28 feet tomorrow afternoon. This may cause flooding on Highway 156 in areas east of the bridge. The National Weather Service reminds drivers that if they encounter a flooded area, they should turn around and find an alternate route.
