The PCM softball team seemingly had things in control until a four-run sixth inning allowed Roland-Story to tiptoe off the diamond with a 5 – 4 victory. Coach Mallory Grove tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was a combination of balls out over the plate and some defensive errors that cost her team in the end. Molly Vignovich was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate to highlight the offense for the Mustangs, who fall to 4 – 3 on the season and 2 – 1 in the Heart of Iowa Conference. Their four-game road trip continues tonight as the Mustangs will head to Carlisle for a game at 7:30 p.m.
