A Knoxville man accused of using a shock collar on his son pleaded not guilty Friday. 35-year-old Daniel Lee Hardwick will be back in Marion County District Court next month for a pre-trial conference. Hardwick is accused of using a shock collar on his 12-year-old son. Hardwick allegedly admitted to police that he applied the collar on his son’s neck to “motivate” him, but did not admit to actually shocking him.
