The City of Pella has a new Finance Director, Corey Goodenow. Goodenow grew up in Idaho before attending Iowa State University where he earned a degree in Finance. After graduation he took a position with Principal Financial Group, where he worked for three plus years while attending Drake University earning his Master’s in Public Administration. He then worked for the State Energy Office, before taking a position with the City of Chariton, working primarily on their budget. Goodenow says his day to day workload involves the city budget, assisting City Administrator Mike Nardini with administrative duties including a constant review of finances, and then any additional tasks assigned by Nardini or the city council.
