The Marion County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a disturbance in Pleasantville late Friday. A Pleasantville Officer was dispatched to 302 South Highway 5 near lot #37 in Pleasantville around 11:35pm Friday. Upon arriving the officer learned that Matthew Lane Tabor had gotten into a verbal argument with a female minutes earlier. The officer attempted to secure Tabor who was resisting the officer and became aggressive and violent. The Pleasantville Officer asked for assistance from a nearby citizen after he sustained a leg injury while attempting to secure Tabor. The Pleasantville Officer was transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, where he was treated for the leg injury. Marion County Sheriff’s deputies transported Matthew Lane Tabor to the Marion County jail where he was processed and charged with operating while intoxicated, interference with official acts causing serious injury, criminal mischief, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Members of the Iowa State Patrol, Monroe Police Department and Warren County Sheriff’s office assisted at the scene.
