Vermeer Corporation announced this week its intent to build a new technology hub at Iowa State University.

They are planning to build a facility during the third phase of the Iowa State Research Park Project in Ames that will house offices, meeting space, and an equipment bay for testing. The space will allow Iowa State students and faculty and Vermeer employees to collaborate and work on technology advancements. The facility plans were announced at a groundbreaking ceremony for Iowa State University’s new economic development building on Wednesday, which will open in mid-2016 and house the new Vermeer hub.
