A Tracy woman was transported to Knoxville Hospital & Clinics after the vehicle she was operating struck a deer on Highway 92 early Friday morning.

Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department and Knoxville Fire and Rescue responded to the accident at 6:03am. The woman was driving a Chevy Equinox when she struck the deer at mile marker 159 just east of Knoxville. The woman was said to have non-life threatening injuries.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

The accident was among several this past week that involved vehicles hitting deer, including the third report on Friday morning alone.
