Blowing Snow

Marion County is getting a full taste of winter early this season.

According to the National Weather Service, 1.5 inches of snow fell in Pella and in Knoxville on Saturday. The normal time of year to get the first inch of snow is in the second week of December. Numerous accidents were reported on Saturday, including a three car wreck that injured one person in Pella during the afternoon. Throughout the day today, wind chills could reach 10 below zero, and overnight tonight, wind chills will drop to 15 below with overnight temperatures in the single digits.
