Two cars were fully engulfed in flames after they collided on Idaho Drive late this afternoon. Multiple emergency crews including the Pella Rural Fire Department, Pella Community Ambulance, the Pella PD and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call shortly before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Idaho Drive and Idaho Lane, just outside of the Pella city limits. Traffic was blocked in both directions as Pella firefighters battled the blaze. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. No major injuries were reported.
