Two Pella wrestlers saw their careers come to an end last week at the State High School Wrestling Tournament. Although their season didn’t end the way they wanted with a medal at the state tournament, Brent Smith and A,J. Arendell have etched their names into Pella wrestling history and helped set the bar high for the future of the program. Smith ended his season 33-6 and finishes his career as a two time state qualifier. Arendell a three time state qualifier ended his season at 31-6. Both end their careers with 114 wins, which is a new record at Pella High School and definitely sets a good example fo what can be acheived through hard work and dedication to the younger wrestlers.
