Area track and field teams are starting to begin their preparations for the “back stretch” of their schedule, as the days until the state qualifying meets are beginning to countdown to less than three weeks. PCM’s boys finished second only to Pekin at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont last night. The Mustangs scored 89 points, and were led by the shuttle hurdle relay team’s first place finish, whilst setting a new personal best at the same time. Skyler Coder also PR’d in the 110 high hurdles at 15.9 seconds, and he was second in the high jump. Pella Christian also had some strong performances in what Coach Keith Anderson called a “decent night.” Jon Larson was third in the high hurdles, and Jacob Lensing was bronze in the 800 and 1600.
