A shootout went Pella High’s way on the softball diamond last night, 10 – 8 over Dallas Center – Grimes in eight innings. Sara Tallman recorded three hits, Alexa Dingeman smacked a home run, her team-leading second of the season, and Kennedy Landgrebe also had a trio of hits. Elyse Sadler was the winning pitcher, as the Lady Dutch victory snaps a five-game losing streak to boost their record to 9 – 8, and they are 2 – 4 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. They’ll be in a tournament at Oskaloosa this weekend.
