Sentencing will be next month for an Oskaloosa man accused of sexually abusing a girl in Hamilton this past February.
26-year-old Tony Joe Bakalar, Jr. pled guilty to a charge of lascivious acts with a child as part of a plea agreement.
According to court records, Bakalar assaulted the 13-year-old victim at a residence in Hamilton. The victim told her mother and when confronted Bakalar fled before turning himself in to Oskaloosa police.
As part of the plea deal, it will be recommended Bakalar be incarcerated for 10 years, listed on the sex offender registry for life, and must complete sex offender treatment. His sentence will be handed down Friday, Oct. 30th.
