Playing together on the same night for the first time since taking on Pella before the Christmas break, Pella Christian’s hoopsters return to competition with a meet-up against Norwalk inside the Tulip City. PC’s girls are 3 – 4, and were last seen knocking off Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, 56 – 44. The Warriors have had their struggles and are out to a 2 – 6 start, but their last three losses have been by a combined nine points, including one-point setbacks to Boone and Perry to conclude 2015. The boys’ game is also intriguing; each squad has just one tally in the loss column. Height will be a factor tonight; the Warriors feature three players at least 6’7” tall. Coach Larry Hessing says they’ve done some things in practice to try and counteract the disadvantage, but knows his Eagles will be tested. The doubleheader tonight can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS, KNIAKRLS.com, and via our free mobile app. Cory Houser and Wynne Veenstra will provide the play-by-play, starting with the pregame show at 5:45 p.m.
