The PCM Mustangs girls and boys basketball squads triumphed over Saydel in their last conference game before the holiday break and both squads will attempt to lengthen their winning streaks tonight in a conference matchup at the Cubs of Nevada.

The girls currently own a 6-3 record and will have a tough test against senior forward Kati Cassabaum, who averaged 14.4 points and 6 rebounds per game. The Mustangs have picked up some scoring lately from a source outside of junior guards Katie Vandewall and Kayla Jennings, point guard Jayce Vos has upped her average to over 7 points per game. The trio of juniors will be tested against the Cubs who have not given up more than 29 points in their last four games. The 6-2 boys ended their break with a tough win over area rival Knoxville, and will also look to bring its Heart of Iowa winning streak to two games. The Cubs have the rare player who can match senior forward Logan Gilman in scoring, point guard Cole Gidel averages 22 points per game and has lead his team to three conference wins early on in the season. Both girls and boys games can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com via the KNIA2 stream with Andrew Swadner on the call. The Iowa State Savings Bank Radio Pregame show will begin at 5:45, with tip off at 6.
