2015 was a busy year for the Knoxville Police Department, according to Chief Dan Losada. He says they had near all-time highs for numbers of cases and calls for service.

However, the number of arrests made by officers is down, which Losada says is good because it means citizens are behaving well. Losada says in the coming year he’ll look to address the canine program and the purchase of computers for police vehicles.
