The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday to hear a Knoxville Public Library Board funding request, among other business.

The library board has embarked on a $4.5 million library expansion project and thanks to a bond issue passed by the citizens of Knoxville and citizen donations, approximately half of the funds have been raised. The library board requested a $25,000 contribution from the county in order to leverage state funding. The board took the request under consideration.
