Anthony Keith Dommer of Lynnville was sentenced to five years in prison on Tuesday for 2nd degree theft.
Dommer pled guilty to theft in the second degree. In September of last year, Dommer did what officers later described as a “pushout”, filling a shopping cart full of expensive merchandise and then rushing out the doors of the Knoxville Walmart. He then quickly loaded a truck he had stolen in Jasper county and drove away. Dommer was arrested four days later in Poweshiek County after a high speed chase on a stolen motorcycle. Dommer has pled guilty to a string of felonies and been sentenced to prison in several area counties since the beginning of this year.
