Many departments are growing rapidly at Pella Regional Health Center.

CEO Bob Kroese tells KNIA/KRLS News two key areas have seen significant jumps in the number of patients they see.

A fourth operating room was recently installed — which is among the most unique in the state, to accommodate that surgical growth.

A new clinic opened earlier this year in New Sharon as well, which Kroese says was talked about by residents in that community for some time.

He says patients who have a local clinic are more likely to come to Pella’s hospital for major events such as surgeries or births.
