The Pleasantville Girls Golf Squad opened up their season in less than ideal conditions at the Championship TCI course in Polk City and walked out victorious in a meet with Ogden, Nevada, and North Polk.
Despite a tough course, 25 mph winds and a low temperature of about 45 degrees Pleasantville would win by four strokes over second place Ogden with a team score of 210. The meet medalist was Trojan All-State Golfer Hannah Gordon who carded a 44. Coach Dan Calhoun told KNIA/KRLS Sports that he was happy with the win against some good teams, and the tough course will only make the team better in the long run. Pleasantville will next hit the links on Monday at PCM.
