A national travel agency has named the Tulip City as one of America’s most beautiful.

Pella ranked 21st on a list of the country’s 30 most beautiful towns gathered by Expedia. Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Jill Vande Voort says tourism is high in the city because of the hard work of residents, volunteers, and city staff to keep the appeal high for those who visit.

Expedia cited the city’s Dutch heritage and its proximity Lake Red Rock as to why Pella made the list.
