Tulip bulbs planted by the city of Pella for the 81st Tulip Time festival can be dug up in select flower beds next week.
The flowers planted in specified street beds and city parks will be available for removal at 7 a.m. Monday morning.
Those digging up bulbs are asked to use a pitchfork and to remove all foliage. City staff also requests they do not leave stems or leaves behind, and that all soil remains in the flower beds.
Tulips are available in the following locations: Main Street between Peace and Liberty and between Washington and Sunken Gardens; Washington Street from Open Bible Church to Brinkhoff Park; Franklin Street from the Post Office to West Market Park; and City Parks, including Brinkhoff, Central, West Market, Sunken Gardens, South Park, Community Center, Library, City Hall, Lions, and the Klokkenspel. Removal from any other bed is prohibited.
