Voted Most Valuable Performers after shining in the Iowa Conference track and field championships this past weekend, seniors Abi Davis and Dan Roemerman were each named co-Iowa Conference female and male athletes of the week, respectively. Davis alone scored 38 of her team’s points for the league meet, winning the 200 meter dash, was a member of the winning 4 x 100 and 400 meter relay teams, and placing second in the 100 meter dash. Roemerman set a school record in the 110 high hurdles by taking gold with a time of 14.22 seconds. Roemerman was the winner in the 100 meter dash, took sixth in the 200, and ran with the third-place 4 x 100 meter relay team. The Dutch men won the overall team title for the second year in a row. Both athletes are scheduled to run today at the Augustana Twilight, the final meet before the official qualifying list comes out for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
