New Pella Ambulance

EMTs are the lifeline for many people in need emergency services.

Pella Ambulance Director Laura Clanton tells KNIA/KRLS News the organization, beyond five full-time paramedics, is volunteer-driven.

“I don’t think it’s just important, but it’s essential,” she says.

Clanton says there is a staff of more than 20 that give up their free time and more to ensure the safety of residents in the community.

“An amazing amount actually goes into something like this,” she says.

Clanton encourages those interested in becoming emergency responders to stop by their office on Main Street in Pella. May 15th through the 21st is National EMS Week.
