Monroe Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Casey’s General Store.
Monroe Police Chief Nick Chambers says officers were called to the store at 201 Ralph St. around 2:11 a.m. on June 2nd about a robbery in progress. The suspect left the scene on foot before officers arrived.
Police say he displayed a note to the cashier claiming to have a gun during the robbery. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A witness describes the alleged robber as a white male in his mid 20’s, dark colored hair and clean shaved. At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie, light-colored shorts, a red billed cap and black/white shoes.
